Islamabad : The citizens of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Sunday demanded of the quarters concerned to start an awareness drive to stop young motorcyclists from violating traffic rules on busy roads.
They said the young and under-age motorbike users have become the nuisance for other motorists during rush-hours at busy roads as their traffic violations lead to serious accidents.
They said many motorbike users use wrong lanes of major roads, which are not allocated for them. They use fast-lanes, which are only allowed for motor-cars for over-taking or used for a short time.
They abruptly come to the wrong lane and sometimes hit the bumpers of motor-cars, Zahoor Ahmad, a motorist said. “I have to replace my car’s bumper besides receiving scratches on car body several times due to the wrong driving of young motorcyclists in fast-lane of main roads of twin cities like Expressway and Kashmir Highway.
