LAHORE : A man was killed and another injured by a speeding truck in Kot Lakhpat area on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Khaleefa Sadiq and the injured as Ramzan. They were on their way on a bike when a rashly-driven truck hit them. As a result of which Sadiq died on the spot and Ramzan sustained injuries.
accidents: A total of 910 road accidents were reported in the provincial monitoring cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) in all 37 Districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Reportedly, nine lives were lost and 652 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant cities. However, some 390 victims with minor injuries were treated on the spot. According to the statistics, 442 drivers, 21 underage drivers, 142 pedestrians and 467 passengers were among the victims of the accidents.
