PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has started recruitment for constables through National Testing Services (NTS) to ensure merit in hiring manpower for the force.
More than 37,000 candidates had applied through NTS last year after which around 2,600 constables were selected in all the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a transparent and verifiable process.
The last date for submission of applications for the fresh recruitment through National Testing Services is March 12, 2015. Physical test will be held from March 31 to April 11 in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Timargara, Chitral, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan centres.
To encourage the educated youth to join the police force, additional marks will be given to the applicants as per the following format: intermediate 2 marks, bachelor degree 2 marks, master’s degree and above 1 mark only.
Moreover, in order to afford an opportunity to the special police officers to join the regular force, five years special concession in age and additional three marks have been offered to all such SPOs who are otherwise physically fit & eligible and have completed three years satisfactory service in their districts.Written test of the eligible candidates will be held on April 19, 2015 simultaneously.
