Commerce Ministry to work with private sector to promote trade
PESHAWAR: Director General (Trade Policy), Ministry of Commerce, Noman Aslam Sheikh said on Thursday that the ministry was willing to work with the private sector to address problems associated with international trade.
Addressing a consultative session on formulation of Strategic Trade Policy Framework (STPF) 2018-2023, he said they would consult the relevant private sector stakeholders to understand the problems being faced by the business community in export and imports.
Sariruddin, director TDAP, and Shahab of Charsadda also addressed the gathering and assured that TDAP was well placed and had the capacity to provide the needed assistance to the private sector.
The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry SCCI) chief on the occasion said that new trade opportunities can be found by thinking out of the box and exploring new markets.
