He said China had helped Pakistan in every hour of the need and extended invaluable cooperation in the progress and development of the country.
The chief minister said a new era of Pak-China friendship had begun in the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-N government, led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and the strong relations between the two countries had turned into useful economic ties. He said Pak-China Economic Corridor was an important step in the growing trade and economic relations between the two countries and would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity in Pakistan. He said that2015 was being observed as the year of beginning of Pak-China economic cooperation, as a result of which, Pak-China friendship would enter a new phase.
Shahbaz Sharif said China had signed agreements worth billions of dollars for investment in energy, infrastructure and other sectors in Pakistan due to which economic and trade contacts would strengthen between the two countries. He said China had made rapid progress through hard work and commitment and had become a big economic force. He said the progress made by China was a role model for the other nations in the world.
Chinese Consul General Yu Boren said China considered Pakistan its brother and Chinese leadership highly valued the present leadership of the country.
