HAFIZABAD: Bandits shot at and injured a couple over putting up resistance in a dacoity incident on Wednesday. Saif Ullah and his wife Bushara Bibi of Manget Road were moving on a motorcycle, when two bandits intercepted them near district complex and shot at and injured them critically them when Saif and his wife put up resistance. The bandits took away cash and ornaments. The couple was rushed to hospital. Locals staged a protest against rising incidents of robberies in the area and urged the Punjab Chief Minister and IGP to look into the matter.
