LAHORE: The final of the blind cricket World Cup has been shifted from Lahore to Sharjah. The final was to be played Gaddafi stadium on January 20.

In this connection GK Mahantesh, President Cricket Association of Blind in India (CABI) who is also President World Blind Cricket Ltd, apologised with Pakistani fans for not touring Pakistan for the final of the World Cup as Indian government has still withheld the clearance of Indian team’s visit to Pakistan for participation in the World Cup. He said that CABI has tried its best to get the clearance as Indian Blind Cricket team was ready to play World Cup matches in Pakistan but Indian government didn’t allow for it.

Syed Sultan Shah, Chairman PBCC, who was disappointed on the proceedings, said that now final will not be played at Lahore. The Blind Cricket World Cup is currently under way in UAE, the final leg of league matches are in progress. Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have already qualified for the semis and it is likely to have India-Pakistan final.
