I have been living in Sector F/10/1, Islamabad since 1990. My house is located on Street 35. That the roads of this sector are in a dilapidated condition is an open secret. Last month, the CDA finally paid attention to the broken roads started the construction work in the area. The residents of the sector were relieved. The work was commenced on time and the recarpeting of the roads began. The authorities managed to repair almost 12 streets, but discontinued the repair work before the roads of Street 35 could be recarpeted.
Only the CDA authorities can tell the reason behind the discontinuation of the work. However, this lack of professionalism has disappointed the residents. More than 12 households have lodged a complaint to the chairman of the CDA and asked the authorities to provide justice to them. However, the genuine complaint has fallen on deaf ears. The CDA authorities are once again requested to look into the matter and instruct the concerned officials to start repairing Street 35 of the sector.
