By Our correspondent
KARACHI: Aqeel Karim Dhedhi did not appear in a court on Saturday during the hearing of a false propaganda case against a private bank.
Dhedhi’s counsel submitted his medical certificate taking the stance that his client was ill due to which he could not come to the court.
Dhedhi’s guarantor was also absent.
The court accepted the petition of Haji Ghani seeking exemption from appearance in the court, while the other accused, including Haji Usman, Salman Mirza and Assad Kharal, were present in the court.
During the previous hearing, the court had issued bailable arrest warrant for Dhedhi. He was accused of levelling false allegations against the petitioner during a programme on a private TV (ARY News). The court adjourned the hearing to February 10.
