Just a tweet can’t end Pak-US ties: Trump’s adviser
ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the US President on Muslim Community Sajid Tarar says the Pakistani community in the US is still hopeful of resumption of Pakistan-US ties.
In a video message for the Pakistani community, he said the US had not ceased the Security Assistance and Coalition Support Fund but suspended it temporarily. He said both the countries were considering available options and things would settle down soon.
Talking about the political consequences, he argued thatContinued on page 9 some of Pakistani politicians were exploiting Pak-US tension for their political interests. "Few Pakistani politicians are misleading their people by giving an impression that Pakistan and US tension might lead to a war situation", he added.
Tarar further explained that the Pakistani community and businessmen in the US were playing their role for creating a better relationship between the governments of two countries. "Seventy-year-old Pak-US relationship can’t be ended with a tweet or in a week; good relationships are essential for the people of both countries,” Tarar said. He suggested the Pakistani politicians to act carefully in view of the ongoing situation.
