FAISALABAD: Four people, including two members of a family, were killed and 22 others injured in accidents on Thursday.
In the first incident, Farhan Ali Anjum, a laboratory technician at the Allied Hospital, fell down from a bus on Khurrianwala Road. In the meantime, a dumper coming behind the bus crushed him to death. The deceased was a resident of Chak 105/RB. In the second incident, student Asad Ali, a resident of Chak 113/GB, was crushed to death by a van when he tried to ascend it to reach his school. In the third incident, a family was on way when a tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle near Chak 20/RB. As a result, motorcyclist M Rafiq and his minor son Danish were killed on the spot while Rafiq’s wife Kausar miraculously remained safe. In the fourth incident, a bus turned turtle when a speeding dumper collided with it in the vicinity of Sadr police station. As a result, 22 passengers were injured. They were shifted to the Civil Hospital where condition of eight of them is stated to be critical.
