Interior ministry asked to review decision on INGOs’ registration issue
ISLAMABAD: World Vision International (WVI-P), an International Non-Governmental Organisation (INGO) working in Pakistan, said on Thursday that they had approached Ministry of Interior to revisit/review their earlier decision on registration issue and waiting for their reply.
In a statement issued here, they stated, “It is intimated that World Vision International-Pakistan (WVI-P) trusts and follows the official channel of Minister of Interior for revising Ministry’s decision on registration of INGOs.
The new item published is not as per factual position. WVI-P has neither approached any court of law nor has any such decision been given. We have approached Ministry of Interior to re-visit/review their earlier decision and waiting for their reply. This news item is likely to have negative affect on whole process and may hamper our efforts to get a fair consideration from Ministry of Interior. You are requested to please issue a strong rebuttal on this news item so that we are not un-necessarily harmed”.
