MQM-P stages protest against Kasur incident
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan held a protest at the city’s Aisha Manzil area on Thursday against the horrific rape and murder of an seven-year-old girl in Kasur, Punjab.
District Municipal Corporation Central chairman Rehan Hashmi, MPA Jamal Ahmed and others leaders of the MQM-P held placards inscribed with slogans such as #JusticeForZainab while registering their protest.
The demonstrators demanded immediate arrest of the culprits behind the incident and speedy justice to the family. A party delegation including Sindh Assembly opposition leader Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan, MNA Kishwer Zehra and Shabbir Qaimkhani, reached Kasur to express solidarity and condolence with the victim’s family.
The MQM-P also submitted a resolution to the National Assembly against the appalling incident. It read that the government should formulate a central policy on child abuse to avert such incidents.

The Pak Sarzameen Party has condemned the rape and murder of the girl and announced holding a protest at Do Talwar on today at 4:30pm.
