89-member Pak contingent to feature in CW Games
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has finalized 89-member contingent and has confirmed participating in 10 disciplines of the XXI Gold Coast Commonwealth Games scheduled from April 4 to 15, 2018 in Australia.
Ten discipline to be participated by Pakistan are athletics, badminton, boxing, hockey, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling. A meeting of the presidents/secretaries general of concerned sports federations in connection with the XXI Commonwealth Games was held on 10 January, 2018 at Olympic House Lahore under the Chairmanship of Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan to discuss and share certain important information with the Federations as well as to get their feedback on account of preparations and performance.
Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) also attended this important meeting for effective coordination and adequate arrangements for the event.
