NH&MP workshop
Islamabad: A workshop on Standardization of Driving License Issuance Procedure was organised by National Highways & Motorway Police at Hamid Shakeel Auditorium, of Driving Licensing Authority in Islamabad, says a press release.
This workshop was attended by representatives of all driving licensing authorities of Pakistan. The aim of the workshop was to bring uniformity in the driving licensing issuing procedure of driving licence issuing authorities throughout Pakistan and to ensure issuance of driving licences to only deserving people. All the driving license issuing authorities were requested to follow the procedure of driving licence issuance mechanism of DLA, NH&MP, Islamabad in order to cleanse the highways and motorways from traffic accidents as well as to introduce professionally trained drivers on roads.
Officers from all the police setups presented their driving licence issuance mechanism in detail. The DSP, Inam Ellahi of Drivers Licensing Authority, NH&MP briefed the participants in detail. Mr. Tony Bowis, Vehicle and Drivers Safety Specialist also explained the internationally implemented driving licence issuance procedure.
