SUKKUR: The Shikarpur police claimed to have arrested two alleged terrorists who had given refuge to one of the suicide bombers who had blown himself up at the Shikarpur mosque last month, killing over 60 people who had been offering the Friday prayers.
The police also claimed that the two suspects had also planned to attack a protest rally taken out against the mosque bombing incident in Shikarpur.The SSP of Shikarpur, Saqib Ismail Memon, said that the police found clues to the suspects during their investigation into the mosque bombing incident.
He identified the suspects as Ghulam Rasool and Khalil Ahmed Brohi. The official said that police also recovered a suicide jacket, explosive material and other things from the possession of the suspects.He said that the suspects belonged to Dera Jamali area of Balochistan.The SSP said that the suspects were affiliated with a banned religious organization.
