LAHORE: An additional district and sessions court on Monday sought reply from the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore on an application, seeking registration of a treason case against former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
The petitioner requested the court to order registration of a treason case against the said persons as they were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to malign a ‘national institution’. Additional District and Sessions Judge Munawar Ahmad directed the SHO Civil Lines and the CCPO to submit their replies in this regard by January 5.
