Kalsum Nawaz to take oath next month
ISLAMABAD: Member of the National Assembly-elect from N-120 Lahore Begum Kalsum Nawaz will take the oath of membership of the house in second week of next month during the 51st session of the NA.
Parliamentary sources told The News here Thursday that former first lady Begum Kalsum Nawaz who has undergone three cycles of chemotherapy in London for her malignancy has fairly recovered from her ailment. She was advised for six or eight cycles of the therapy but it has been hinted that if required she will not be required more than one cycle further. The sources have indicated that Begum Kalsum Nawaz will be greeted by the people of Lahore on her return from London profusely.
The schedule would be announced by Ms. Maryam Nawaz as soon the doctors permit her to undertake air travelling. It is likely that Ms. Maryam Nawaz will accompany her mother in return home sojourn.
The National Assembly will have its session on 11th of January and the sources have indicated that it would be far smoother sitting of the national legislature since the government is hopeful of settling the issue regarding the streamlining of the federally administered tribal areas (Fata) much before that.
