RAWALPINDI: Supermodel Ayyan Ali Wednesday failed to appear in a Rawalpindi court due to illness. The Customs Court duty judge, Raja Ghazanfar Ali, has accepted application regarding exemption for appearance in the court on Wednesday.
The court ordered to present medical report of supermodel Ayyan Ali and adjourned further hearing of currency smuggling case for next year till January 15, 2018. The council of supermodel has taken plea that his client was sick, so she could not appear in the court. The court adjourned the hearing till January 15, 2018, with a directive that Ayyan should be produced in next hearing at any cost. The customs officials arrested supermodel on March 14, 2015, on charges of money laundering and recovered $506,000 from her luggage at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad. She wanted to fly to Dubai.
