Taking cognizance of the situation, Chief Secretary Muhammad Azam Khan has come up with an idea of Good Citizen Corps (GCC). It is aimed at inculcating the values of tolerance, cooperation and promotion of civic rights/duties through focused educational training. In a meeting at the chief secretary's office, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department and Culture, Sports, Tourism, Archaeology and Youth Affairs were directed to prepare a list of items for socio-cultural activities along with verifiable implementation and monitoring mechanism for the purpose as soon as possible.
