Gajar ka Halwa: Khursheed’s mouth-watering praise for president’s cookbook
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday sent the gift of ‘Gajar Ka Halwa’ to the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah.
“I am thankful to him for sending me the gift of Gajar ka Halwa and it was an honour for me as he had sent such a tasty gift,” he said while talking to newsmen at his Chamber at the Parliament House on Wednesday.
Khursheed Shah, who was delighted at receiving the gift, said he had old relations with the president as they had spent days in jail together. “President Mamnoon Hussain was a very good host and even in jail he presented the dishes which he himself cooked,” he said.
He said the president was very good in cooking and cooked delicious dishes in the jail also. “Though I am also good at cooking but not able to cook Biryani like President Mamnoon Hussain. I never tasted such a Biryani in my life,” he said.
