COAS visits Gali-e-Dastoor at Parliament House
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani Tuesday showed Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa the Gali-e-Dastoor (Constitution Gallery), a dedicated area, show-casing the struggle for democracy and evolving of the Constitution at the Parliament House.
Before going to the Senate hall for in-camera briefing to the senators, the army chief had a brief meeting with chairman Senate at his chamber who then took him to the Senate hall but not before telling him and pointing towards the Gali-e-Dastoor on the way to the hall. The army chief had a glance at the gallery while passing by it and then moved forward.
The dedicated area has images of those, who rendered services for creation of Pakistan, democracy and making of the Constitution and the events, which unfolded afterwards.
