LAHORE: Go the Queen was the star of the day when this two years old pony won the main Dominators Cup here at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday.
There were seven races slated for the day and in other six competitions, I Swear, Fakhar-e-Niaz Baig, Poetry, Dazzling Gold, Proposal and Punjabi Munda were the winners of the first positions. In all all the favourite ponies claimed positions in today’s races.
After I swear that was first, Sweet Miracle followed it at the second place while another facourite Love Master settled for the third position. As was expected Fakhar-e-Niaz Baig claimed the top position in the second race of the day, Danial Brian out of nowhere became second and Zil-e-Huma was third. The third race finished in favour of Poetry while Ba Barkat became second and Aye Desert was third. The first two places were a surprise wins.
Dazzling Gold was first in the fourth race with Gawandal Prince taking the place while Abdullah Princess was a surprise third. The fifth race was the main competition of the day. In this race young ponies were tested and from among the eight contestants, Go The Queen, Love For S and Alazay Star were the winners of the first three positions.
The sixth race of the day saw, Proposal taking the first place and dazzling came to the second place was Dazzler while no one could stop from third place was Don’t Stop Me.The final race of the day finished in favour of Punjabi Munda which was followed by Bonny Light and Banjo.
