Peshawar terror attack martyrs remembered

LAHORE: City traffic police arranged a memorial ceremony of martyrs of Peshawar bomb blast at a local school in Samanabad area on Sunday.

Students lit candles in the memory of martyrs and sung national songs. Man injured by robbers dies in hospital: A man died in a local hospital on Sunday a few hours after he was shot and wounded by robbers on resistance in Naseerabad area.

The victim was identified as Shoaib of Faisal Town. He was passing through Furdos Market on a bike when two robbers intercepted him and shot and wounded him on resistance. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. Police removed the body to morgue for postmortem.

KEMU alumni meet: King Edward Medical College Batch 1977 had 40th year get together/reunion at the Patiala Block of the University’s historical Campus. According to a press release issued here Sunday, Dr Tahir Naeem welcomed all his fellow doctors back to the alma mater and had a round of the campus of the oldest medical institution of the sub-continent to revisit the old memories.

The ceremony was attended by senior professors. Former DG Health Punjab, ex-MS Services Hospital, and KE-alumni team and Coordinator KEMU alumni (Central) Dr Salman Kazmi were also present.
