PIA cancels, delays flights

Lahore : Some PIA flights have been cancelled and revised because of thick fog on Saturday.

A PIA spokesman said that foggy weather conditions were expected to prevail for the next few days and it was beyond the control of the airline. "PIA had to adjust the timings of its flights due to weather, as the airline cannot operate flights with poor visibility and also keeping in view safety requirements. This, results in either cancellation of flights or delays," he added. Keeping in view the weather forecast for Sunday, the following flights have been cancelled or revised:

PK 313 Lahore-Karachi and PK 398 Karachi-Sialkot are cancelled due to poor weather forecast. PIA also rerouted some of its flights due to foggy weather conditions. They are PK 718 now operating Madinah-Karachi instead of Madinah-Faisalabad and PK 206 Kuwait-Lahore is operating Kuwait –Karachi, while PK 302 Lahore-Karachi is delayed by one hour, PK 650 Lahore-Islamabad by one hour, PK 651 Islamabad-Lahore delayed by 40 minutes and PK 652 Rahim Yar Khan-Lahore delayed by 40 minutes, the spokesperson concluded.
