LAHORE : Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court on Saturday dismissed a petition seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, federal ministers, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan for alleged violation of their oaths.
The judge held that the petitioner could not provide any evidence in support of his allegations. The petitioner, Faisal Naseer Khan, a former judge of the Supreme Court, submitted that the parliamentarians had made all possible efforts for their personal gains and failed to protect fundamental rights of their voters and other citizens. He said that the conduct of the respondents was in violation of their oaths.
