SIALKOT: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Farrukh Naveed Thursday ordered a stern action against quacks and all those found violating the Drugs Control Act. He said FIRs will be registered against five medical store owners for selling fake, non-registered medicines besides sending 11 cases to Drugs Court. The decision was taken by DC Dr Farrukh Naveed in the District Quality Control Board meeting held here. CEO District Health Authority Dr Latif Ahmed Sahi, Secretary DCQB Furrukh Majeed and drug inspectors were also present.
promoted: The District Departmental Promotion Committee Sialkot Thursday promoted 707 male and female teachers to their next scales/grades. DC Dr Farrukh Naveed presided over the meeting while CEO of District Education Authority Maqbul Ahmed Shakir, DEO (Secondary) Altaf Hussain, DEO (Elementary) Nasarullah Khan and other senior officials of the finance and accounts departments attended the meeting. The committee promoted 71 male EST teachers from Grade 15 to 16, 277 male EST teachers promoted from Grade 14 to 15, 40 PST male teachers promoted to Grade 14, 69 teachers promoted to grade 12 and 250 male and female SST teachers were promoted to their next grades.
