Himont School Hockey from tomorrow
LAHORE: The Dar Hockey Academy is going to organise Himont Cup Inter-School Hockey Tournament from Friday here at the National Hockey Stadium.
Dar Hockey Academy president Tauqeer Dar said that the event is being organised to promote hockey at grass-root level for which top schools have been engaged in this healthy activity. “Aitchison College, Crescent School, Govt School Kasur and Kims School System have been participating in this two-day activity, which is being sponsored by Himont Pharmaceuticals. I hope that such events help in finding fresh talent, which if trained and groomed well, could become an asset for Pakistan hockey,” he added.
“It is my father and my aim to keep on serving this game, which gave us name and fame and I would continue to play my part in promoting this game at every level,” he further said. The final of this tournament will be played on December 16.
