OKARA: A man deprived his blind younger brother and his family of inherited four acres land, house and cattle and threw him out of the house. Maulvi Shahadat Ali of village Faqiria, Basirpur lost his eyesight due to extreme fever 14 years ago.

He has four brothers. Moj Khan, his elder brother, deprived blind Shahdat Ali of his property forcibly. Shahadat has an ailing wife, an infant son and two minor daughters.

Despite the orders of the village Panchayat (court of village elders), Moj Khan took no pity on his blind brother and his family, which is now living at village Jhujh Kalan near Hujra Shah Moqeem. Shahadat ran from pillar to post to get his legal property back.

He even approached the DPO/DCO of the district who directed him to contact Tahir Waheed, in-charge CIA Okara, for help. Two months have been elapsed but his efforts to meet CIA in-charge have proved futile.

Poverty, starvation and sickness have made his and his family’s life miserable. He demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to help him in getting back his legal property from his brother.
