Youth commits suicide after killing brother
JHANG: A youth committed suicide after killing his elder brother over a marriage issue at Habib village on Wednesday.
Abdul Shakoor wanted his early marriage but his elder brother Ghulam Shabbir refused to do so by saying that as soon as their sugarcane crop would be sold out his marriage would be arranged.
On the day of the incident, both brothers exchanged hot words over the same issue.
Later, Shakoor committed suicide after killing his elder brother. Sadar police have shifted the dead bodies to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
However, father of the deceased Mapal Khan has submitted an application to allow him immediate burial of the boys.
SPORTS COMPETITIONS: District Sports Committee Chairman/Deputy Commissioner Mubashar Riaz Malik on Wednesday approved different sports competitions under the Quaid-e-Azam Sports Festival 2017.
According to District Sports Officer Altaf Hussain, inter tehsil under 18 girls table tennis competitions would be held at the sports gymnasium on December15.
Similarly, inter tehsil under 18 boys table tennis contests would be held at sports gymnasium on December 16.
Inter schools and inter colleges badminton competitions would be held at the sports gymnasium on Dec 20 and 21 and washoe game competitions would be held at District Sports Complex on Dec 22.
