ISLAMABAD: Chairman International Muslim Unity Forum Dr Maqsood Jafri has said that Islam is the religion of human rights and condemns inhumane acts.

While addressing the meeting of Human Rights Club, he said for the comity of nations, it is imperative to include Human Rights as a subject at college and university level. “It will enhance human values and norms making mankind a harmonious and better world. The Holy Quran ordains to respect human blood and considers the life of every person precious. On the Mount of Arafat, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) nullified the differences of color, caste, and creed while especially emphasizing the rights of women and minorities”, he added.

The Charter of UNO also proclaims the need and implementation of human rights. Dr Jafri appealed to the United Nations to get the resolutions on Indian held Kashmir and Palestine implemented to avert the menace of Third World War which will be a nuclear war resulting in total annihilation of the whole world.
