Fire safety
December 13, 2017
The news of fire breaking out in an apartment building or a shop is quite common in our country. This dangerous event often ends up claiming lives of hundreds of people. Unfortunate events like the Baldia factory fire and the Regent Plaza fire are still fresh in our memories. The situation was aggravated because all these buildings lack safety equipments.
Many builders do not pay attention to the importance of fire exits. A lot of buildings across Pakistan do not have any way to fight blazing fire. This is why whenever a situation like this takes place, it results in panic and chaos. The government must look into the problem and make it mandatory for all buildings to have a safe fire exit.
