Doctor shot dead

BARA: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a doctor in Shabqdar tehsil in Charsadda district on Monday, sources said.

The sources said Dr Khurshid Alam, who hailed from Bara tehsil, was travelling in his car when attacked by unidentified persons at Shahbaig Qala in Shabqadar area.

He sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The attackers escaped after committing the crime. The body of the doctor was handed over to the relatives who lodged a case against unknown accused. The motive behind his killing could not be ascertained, sources said.
