MANSEHRA: The no-confidence motion against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Tehsil Nazim Khurram Khan Swati failed as the overwhelming majority of councillors voted in support of the nazim on Monday.
“I have no words to thank the councillors of this prestigious council as I have emerged victorious despite conspiracies,” Khurram Khan told the council after voting on no-confidence motion.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf councillor Mohammad Fayyaz, who had moved the no-confidence motion against Deputy Nazim Mohsin Waqar withdrew it last week.
In 53-member Tehsil Council, 44 councillors attended the session and voted against the no-confidence motion.
