Eight Pak players in main round

ISLAMABAD: Eight Pakistani players have made it to the main round of the Kalsoom Saifullah ITF Futures II tennis tournament that would get under way today (Monday) here at the PTF Complex.
Samir Iftikhar has directly qualified for the main round considering his international ranking while Aqeel Khan was inducted in the main draw due to his national No 1 ranking.
Four Pakistanis, Shahzad Khan, Abid Ali Akbar, Muzammil Murtaza and Abid Mushtaq have been given wildcards while Ahmad Chaudhry and Heera Ashiq won their qualifying round matches to make it to the main round.
Ivan Nedelko is top seed again with Spanish Enrique Lopez-Perez being the No 2 seed this time. Lopez who missed the first Futures is due to arrive today.
