Encourage merit
December 11, 2017
The dream of every person is to complete his or her studies to get a suitable government job on merit. Unfortunately, the merit system is discouraged in our country and the culture of favouritism and nepotism has become the bane of society. Deserving and hard working candidates are shown the door and influential people are hired.
This unfair treatment is not limited to students who have completed their studies at a Pakistani university. In fact, people who hold a foreign degree also face difficulties while getting a job. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure transparency in recruitment process. Only deserving candidates should fill vacant posts.
