Three killed in Swat accident

MINGORA: Three persons were killed in a road accident at Kabal tehsil in Swat district on Saturday, official sources said.

They said that a pickup truck carrying passengers plunged into a ravine at Kandaro Qalagey area in Kabal tehsil. As a result, three persons identified as Akhtar Ali, Samiullah and Faridon sustained injuries.

The injured were taken to the Saidu Sharif Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The bodies were handed over to the family members for burial.The police registered the case and started investigation.Two dead as roof collapses in Takht Bhai: A woman and her daughter were killed while her son sustained injuries when roof of a house collapsed in Gujar Garhi on Saturday.

It was learnt that roof of a house of one Javed Khan collapsed early in day in Gujar Garhi. As a result, wife of Javed Khan, whose name could not be ascertained, his nine-year-old daughter Shehla Bibi and seven-year-old son Sahil Khan trapped under the debris.

Following the incident, the locals and the officials of Rescue-1122 reached the spot and started rescue operation. They retrieved bodies of Javed Khan’s wife and Shehla Bibi while rescued Sahil Khan in an injured condition.The injured was taken to the Mardan Medical Complex where his condition was stated to be stable.
