ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed two well-versed technocrats as members in the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) through a highly competitive and strictly merit-based hiring process to strengthen the watchdog’s core team, a handout said on Friday.
“Dr Shahzad Ansar holds a PhD in business administration with a specialisation in microfinance and a master’s degree in engineering geology, while Dr Muhammad Saleem has two master’s degrees and a PhD in economics,” the statement said.
The statement added that Dr Ansar is a certified small and medium enterprises (SME) manager in the doctorate category and has served as member CCP overseeing the Office of Fair Trading and Advocacy Department from 2011-2017.
