Dacoit killed by accomplices’ firing

HAFIZABAD: A dacoit was killed by the firing of his accomplices during a dacoity near Police Lines here on Friday.
Four dacoits were robbing people of cash and valuables when car rider Muhammad Rafiq of Mohallah Mughalpura reached there. The dacoits signalled him, but he did not stop his car. It infuriated the dacoits and they opened indiscriminate firing. As a result, dacoit Mushtaq of Qila Didar Singh was killed on the spot while his accomplices managed to escape.
Police have shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital for autopsy and started investigation. According to police, Mushtaq was wanted by police of different districts in several cases.
