KARACHI: M Akram (16) and Tall Tughluq (14) propelled Army to their second consecutive win when they overwhelmed Police 117-28 in their Group A match of the 2nd National Departmental Basketball Championship here at floodlit Arambagh court on Wednesday.
Army dominated right from the beginning. They played aggressively to close out the first quarter 28-8. The pummeling continued, with Army sealing the rest of the quarters 27-9, 28-1 and 34-10.
Rashid Minhas and Naimat-ullah shone for Army as they scored 13 and 14 points respectively. Mubashir Hayat was the only player who delivered for Police, scoring 10 points.On Tuesday, WAPDA outclassed Railway 101-47 in the first match of Group B.
