Meeting reviews progress of sports projects

LAHORE: Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said the timely completion of sports projects is essential for the bright future of sports in Pakistan, he said this while addressing a key meeting at Punjab Stadium on Tuesday. The meeting was convened to review the development of sports complex and projects in suburban areas of Lahore.
Director Admin Javed Rasheed Chohan, Deputy Secretary Planning Tehmina Habib, Assistant Director Planning Malik Nasir, Project Director PMU Akram Soban, District Sports Officer Kasur Rauf Bajwa, Divisional Sports Officer Nadeem Qaiser and other top officials were also present on this occasion.
Concerned officers thoroughly briefed Secretary Sports Punjab about the progress of construction work of various sports projects.Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan said sports culture will grow in the province after the completion of sports playfields in the province. “Punjab govt has allocated huge funds for the sports projects in the province.” Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan said Sports Board Punjab is taking every possible measure for the promotion of sports in the province. “Sports Board Punjab is also taking effective measures for the completion of blocked sports projects like Boxing arena and Squash Complex in Nishtar Park Sports Complex,” he added. He issued stern directions to complete the sports projects in the province as early as possible. “No further delay will be tolerated in this regard,” he warned.
