Islamabad: Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders (ICST) on Monday lauded the government for its keen interest in power generation which has resulted in surplus production of electricity. It also credited the government for its efforts to balance the energy mix of the country which remained tilted towards oil for decades. Surplus power production is a good development but it should be continued on a sustainable basis for which the issue of timely payment to the independent power producers and circular debt should be resolved, said ICST Patron Shahid Rasheed Butt.
