MANSEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is likely to install its coalition government with the support of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Balakot tehsil as the Election Commission of Pakistan announced schedule for vacant offices of nazim and naib nazim.
The PML-N government was wrapped up last month in Balakot tehsil following its nazim Rustam Khan and naib nazim Sardar Abdul Qudus were removed through no-confidence voting.
The elections are now scheduled for December 14.
Ibrahim Shah and Liaqat Khassana, who had moved the no-confidence motion against the ousted nazim and naib nazim, claimed to install a joint government in the tehsil for the larger public interest.
“We have backing of almost all councillors except the ousted nazim and naib nazim and would easily win the elections as they unanimously nominated us for the nazim and naib nazim slots,” Shah said.
Khassana alleged that the nazim and naib nazim were ousted as they couldn’t even launch a single development project during the last three years.
