Heroin smuggling bid foiled

PESHAWAR: The police during an action foiled a bid to smuggle seven kilograms of heroin and arrested two alleged smugglers.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suburbs Fazal Wahid told reporters that police were tipped off about smuggling of drugs after which they erected barricades at various points.
The official added that police signaled a car bearing registration number LED-8874 to stop.
Upon searching the hidden cavities of the car, the DSP added, the police recovered 7 kilograms of heroin.
He said two alleged smugglers Kamran and Fida Hussain were arrested and a case was lodged.
