National Track Cycling pedals off

LAHORE: The 63rd National Men’s and 12th Women’s Track Cycling Championship Elite/Junior kicked off on Monday at the Cycling Velodrome here.
Arsalan Anjum of Pakistan Army made a new national record in 4000 metres Individual Pursuit in Men’s Elite category.
The championship is being held under the aegis of Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF). The Championships is being contested by around 100 male and female cyclists of 8 teams from all over the country.
On day first the following events were held in morning and evening sessions:
Results: Morning session 1000m Individual Time Trial (Men’s Elite).
The event was won by M. Arsalan of Pakistan Army Cycling Team, the second position was gained by Mohsin Khan of SSGC and 3rd by M. Shakeel of Wapda results:
500m Individual Time Trial Women’s Elite: Ms Anam Mehmood of Wapda was the winner. Second: Ms Sabiha Zahid of Army. Third: Aasia Tariq of Punjab.
1000m Individual Time Trial Men’s Junior: 1st Tanzeel Khan of KP. Second Haibib of Islamabad.Third M. Farman of Punjab.
4000m Individual Pursuit Men’s Elite: 1st Arsalan Anjum of Army. Second Sabir of Wapda. Third Izatullah of Wapda.
3000m Individual Pursuit Women’s Elite:1st Sabiha Zahid of Army. Second Fiza Riaz of Wapda.
Third Ms Faryal of KP. The opening ceremony was performed by Syed Azhar Ali Shah, Secretary PCF.
