GHALLANAI: Assistant Political Agent Hameedullah Khattak conducted raids on schools and other departments in Upper Mohmand Agency on Friday and reported more than 20 officials for being absent from duties.
Following a meeting between the political administration officials and education authorities, the APA raided several schools, health facilities and other departments as part of a campaign to ensure staff attendance. He also arrested one of the Class-IV employees who was forcing students to clean the school building.
Hameedullah Khattak told mediapersons that the administration had hired volunteers and deputed other staff who would continue raiding various departments to ensure staff attendance there.
He added that the political administration launched the campaign on public complaints that staff remained absent from offices.
