Centre School of Public Administration, University of Geosciences, China, Director Xiaoqing Xie was the guest speaker while CSAS Director Prof Dr Ambreen Javaid, faculty members and students were present.
Xiaoqing Xie said the CPEC was facing criticism within and outside China and Pakistan but said it would be a beneficial project for both countries. In this regard, many Pakistanis would be given technical training," she said and added there would be more job opportunities with handsome wages for skilled labour.
Meanwhile, peace training sessions were held at the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES) and Department of Space Sciences. The training sessions were envisioned for sensitising students to promote tolerance and peace in university premises and society.
