Rootsians bag gold medals in IKSC

Islamabad: The students of Roots International School (RIS) from all the campuses participated in the International Kangaroo Science Competition (IKSC) 2017 and have scored 13 gold and 24 bronze medals.
The triumphant result of IKSC-2017 was recently declared by Kangourou Sans Frontières-Pakistan, where 50 brilliant Rootsians have made their country, institution and the parents proud by notching various amazing top prizes and medals. It is worth mentioning here that some of the RIS campuses showed such an enthusiasm and excellence in this competition and encouraged the students and helped them in participation. All the campuses organised preparatory classes prior to the competition that gave such fruitful results.
This was something much needed to encourage Pakistani students to show their talent in science at the international level. Hundreds of thousands of students from Pakistan have already benefited from the wide exposure the competition offers.
The RIS CEO Walid Mushtaq recognised the efforts of the branch heads and teachers and staff of the campuses; Gulzar-e-Quaid, Wah Cantt Makki, Ghandara & Officers campus, Winchester campus, F-10 Campus, Richmond Campus, Rawal campus & Sialkot campus who were commended for the level of maturity, efforts and dedication to their work.
Following students have achieved the highest level of performance in the contest and bagged gold medals: Amna Mehmood, Hoor-ul Ain, Mohd Ayan Minhas, Raima Qaiser, Sameer Ahmed, Syed Mohd Ahmed, Abdul Ahad Asim, Aleeshay Batool, Ayan Sajjad, Mohd Ahmed, Shifa Khan, Hazik Fawad, Kainat Fatima.
Those who got bronze medals are: Maryam Nasir, Musa Sharif, Salar Fahad, Danyal Hamid, Hamad Tayyab, Hassan Taimur, Syed Hasan Tariq, Yahya Bilal, Zunaira Badar, Zimal Fatima, Abdul Rehman Shaoib, Adam Rafique Ahmed, Ayesha Fatima, Maryam Aziz Irfan, Talha Mohsin, Umazil Fatima, Zara Ather, Abu Bakar, Ammar Arshad, Areela Shah, Ali Rehan, Sarim chaudhary, Tayyab tanvir, Abdul Hanan.
