PA prays for Zarb-e-Azb martyrs, ex-MPA

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly Thursday offered dua for the martyrs of operation Zarb-e-Azb and former Chakwal MPA Liaquat Ali Khan.
Opposition leader Mian Mehmoodul Rasheed paid rich tribute to Major Ishaq who sacrificed his life in fighting against terrorists and lauded the efforts of Pakistan Army to purge the country of militants.
Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on the occasion said the nation, armed forces, political leadership were on the same page against terrorism. Earlier, the PA session, which started with a delay of over two hours with Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan in chair once again failed to meet quorum and was adjourned until today (Friday). The quorum was pointed by Nabila Hakim Ali of the PTI and having failed to meet in the stipulated period of time, the proceedings were adjourned.
