Man dies under mysterious circumstances

LAHORE :A 30-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area on Wednesday.
The victim identified as Qurban hailed from Okara and worked in a private company. It was reported that Qurban’s condition had gone critical at his workplace. He was rushed to hospital where he expired. Police suspected that some poisonous substance had claimed his life. Police shifted the body to morgue.
HIT TO DEATH: A 26-year-old man was killed by a speeding truck in the limits of Islampura police on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Shah Nawaz of Shibli Town. As per eyewitnesses, he was on his way on a bike when a rashly-driven truck ran over him, resulting into his instant death. Police impounded the truck and arrested its driver. Body was handed over to the family.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a 60-year-old man expired in hospital on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Khadam. It was reported that some unidentified persons had got him admitted to the General Hospital a day back and escaped. Police shifted the body to morgue.
TRAFFIC VIOLATION: Punjab Highway Patrol Registered 401 cases against commuters on various traffic violations. PHP also impounded seven bikes with fake green number plates. Moreover, PHP teams arrested five persons on charges of using liquor and 20 persons on the installation of prohibited gas cylinders in their vehicles.
